I am a first generation American.  For my concentration,I wanted to incorporate both my Mexican and American cultures into my projects. Growing up with both cultures has been fun, because when we celebrate things we celebrate big and my grandma makes amazing hispanic food. The American part gives me the opportunity to go to school and work and have a roof over my head. Through my artwork, I wanted to explore this struggle of living between two worlds.
